MIAMI OR BUST!!

MIAMI OR BUST!!

Welcome dear readers...

A few weeks ago myself (pictured on the left) and my producer Michael Druck attended this years NATIONAL 48 HOUR FILM CHALLENGE FILMAPALOOZA and MIAMI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.

Last year FILM CLASSICS PRODUCTIONS participated in the 2008 NATIONAL 48 HOUR FILM CHALLENGE in the great city of San Antonio Texas. (Gotta love Texas) We are proud to say we were the city winners with our short "Four Minutes Till the End".

Needless to say the experience was fun, as it was intense. We had a great cast and crew that pushed us over the top and all the way to Miami. (For more info you can check out our official page) The experience was also painful as I injured my back while filming. Nonetheless we pushed forward and won. There were many great films from around San Antonio and we were honored to represent our city in Miami. If you have never done the 48 Hour you have no idea what your missing...seriously you don't because you have never gotten off your lazy ass and done one...GO DO IT I COMMAND YOU!!....

The finals are held in sunny Miami. The whole event from beginning to end was absolutely amazing and so much fun. While out there we met some amazing teams for all over the United States and from far off countries, France and Australia to name a few. We spent the next two days there watching all the city winners and their short films. I have never seen such great work. I quickly learned that if you wanna play in this game you had better be on top. There is no room for half-ass.

These are our friends from Washington DC.
Please visit there website and check out there amazing work: www.sprezzaturamedia.com

To view all the films from this year check out www.48.tv (please check them out...these filmmakers are absolute super cool)

After a few days of some Miami beach and some MIAMI PARTYING (entourage style "hug it out bitch") we came home with new friends and our city trophy...
I do have to say that the entire 48 Hour Experience is worth every moment. I encourage any one out there interested at all to get some friends, a camera, some money, and join the contest. Its coming real soon to a city near you.

Keep your eye sockets open for an entire video blog about our trip coming soon.

Well, till next time reader. Be happy.
